Clenton Farquharson MBE is a disabled person with lived experience of health and social care.
Clenton employs his own personal assistant and looks after his elderly mother’s personal budget. He is Chair of the Think Local Act Personal, SCIE trustee, a member of the Coalition for Personalised Care, and the Social Care Sector COVID-19 Stakeholder Group.
His other roles include being a member of the NHS Assembly, a trustee of the Race Equality Foundation, and an ambassador for Disability Rights UK and Skills for Care.
Alyson Scurfield is the Chief Executive of TSA and its subsidiary TEC Quality.
Alyson has held a number of leadership positions, focusing on driving standards, quality improvement and workforce development both via TSA involvement in policy development and in setting sector service quality benchmarks in the UK with TEC Quality and UKAS.
Passionate about how technology can transform care, she has led TSA’s partnership work with the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS Transformation Directorate including the recent White Paper ‘People at the Heart of Care’. She is a trustee of ILC the International Longevity Centre, a global think tank. Her vision is to drive personalisation to achieve better outcomes for people.
Jeremy Hughes CBE works as a consultant driving change programmes in the health, social care and voluntary sectors.
During the 2010s, as Chief Executive of Alzheimer’s Society, he led the Dementia Action Alliance. This transformed awareness of dementia and included over 4 million people in the UK becoming Dementia Friends and similar programmes being set up around the world.
As a senior leader in dementia, cancer, children’s, disability, and emergency response charities, he has always worked closely with the NHS and Government departments, helping formulate policy and ensure commitments are delivered.
